GENERAL INFO - FACILITIES & RESOURCES
Landscape
Architecture has space assigned exclusively for its use.
This includes teaching studios, faculty offices and research
offices and facilities. The Landscape Architecture faculty
offices are situated in TB 108 and Walker Hall upstairs. TB
103 (and elsewhere) houses the research offices where, at
any given time, graduate researchers as well as lab
assistants, teaching assistants and readers are housed. TB
105 is the Center for Design Research and includes a
conference/reading room lounge used for faculty meetings,
small seminars, student advising, reading, etc. It also
functions as a space for the GGG.
Separate studios are loosely designated by the program for
senior, junior and sophomore use. The junior and sophomore
studios are in Walker 200 and 204, respectively. The senior
studios are split between TB 100 (lecture room) and TB 113
(drafting) and TB-106 (Mac/PC lab), adjacent to Walker Hall.
This arrangement greatly improves interaction between class
levels as well as providing easy access for all students to
faculty offices, the advising center and the main office.
General classroom space is shared through the campus pool of
classrooms. Walker 206 is the LDA PC lab.
The program has equipment including over 30 lab computers
(Mac and PC), digivideo cameras, digicams, 35mm cameras and
lenses, slide projectors, tape recorders, surveying
equipment, planimeters, stereo glasses, soil field analysis
equipment, a blueprint machine, hand and power tools, dark
room and video cameras on its inventory. For many items,
however, faculty and students go outside of the department
to University offices that handle larger inventories of
readily available equipment for the entire campus.
For questions about LDA's computers, equipment, or labs,
email Brad
Wilcox.
Students,
instructors and staff may check out equipment from the
LDA
Class Support Office.
Instructors may contact the office for assistance with class
supplies ordering. In addition, Instructors, staff and
students may also contact the Class Support Office with any
concerns regarding LDA facilities.
