  • The Landscape Architecture Department is always looking for students with work-study (ask UCD Financial Aid Office if you can qualify) for classroom assistants, TAs, readers, peer advisors, etc. We can sometimes offer you units in lieu of salary, as well. Please contact MSO Shannon Tanguay.

  • UC Davis Extension‚ Center for Water and Land Use Student worker position (upper division or graduate student preferred) The student will work with moderate supervision on the development, design and selection of Low Impact Development (LID) profiles that demonstrate various means of reducing the negative impact of urban development on lakes, rivers, streams, and wetlands. Student should be able to conduct independent web based research in the areas of engineering, design, or the environment, and be familiar with graphic design, GIS technology, landscape architecture, urban design, ecological engineering, or hydrology. The student will assist with the development of website material including project profiles and case studies of LID Projects. Good writing skills - targeted toward public audiences - required. Familiarity with web based applications such as Google API highly desirable. Work hours are flexible, but student should be willing to commit at least 10hrs a week (20 hr limitation applies). Qualifications: 
Word, QuickBooks Pro, Excel, and  good communication skills- a must!
•          3-5 years previous construction office experience or construction management degree.
•          Self motivating, positive attitude, incredibly organized
•          Be courteous, prompt, and timely and have good attention to detail. 
•          Demonstrates the ability to manage their time effectively using a time management system.
•          Be able to operate under pressure and meet deadlines.
•          Providing impeccable customer service to our clients as 1st priority.
•          Able to work independently on projects and also collaborate as a strong team member
•          Communicate effectively both internally and externally
